Dr. Axelson has been a Licensed Master Social Worker with Independent Practice Recognition in the state of Texas since 2005. She obtained her Doctorate in Social Work from Tulane University in December of 2022. She has been conducting child custody and adoption evaluations since 2006 in Angelina, Houston, Nacogdoches and surrounding counties, as well as other counties throughout the state. To date, she has conducted over one hundred and fifty child custody evaluations and several hundred adoption evaluations. Dr. Axelson supervises individuals qualified to become child custody evaluators and has presented at numerous trainings for judges, attorneys and mental health professionals regarding updated legislation and laws pertaining to expert testimony. She is also an active member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Brittany Crawford joined Dr. Axelson in September of 2020 after six years of experience working for the Angelina County District Clerk. She is enthusiastic and ready to assist clients as they navigate this challenging process.
