As of December 2021, Dr. Axelson has completed over one hundred and fifty child custody evaluations. Dr. Axelson is an active member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and has participated in trainings, as well as presented at many conferences, on child custody evaluations and related family law issues. She completes thorough and objective evaluations of families in conformity with recognized best practices. She provides detailed recommendations in the hopes of assisting high conflict families in resolving their disputes and to assist the court in determining children’s best interest in suits affecting the parent-child relationship. She is also serves as an expert reviewer of child custody evaluations and as an expert consultant for attorneys.
